Fair Trading is located within the Ofice of Regulatory Services of the ACT Department of Justice and Community Safety.
Fair Trading promotes fair trading within the ACT marketplace.
The Office assists and protects the community through:
- the administration of fair trading legislation; and
- inspecting compliance of businesses in specific industries with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
The main objective of Fair Trading is to provide information to consumers to make them informed and confident when making purchases or engaging services.
